CEO

Khozema Shipchandler is the Chief Executive Officer of Twilio, the customer engagement platform that drives real-time, personalized experiences for today’s leading brands. Khozema brings over 25 years of experience, most recently serving as the President of Twilio Communications, where he was responsible for driving efficiency and innovation across the Twilio Communications business to deliver streamlined experiences that delight hundreds of thousands of businesses across the globe. He has also held the position of Twilio's Chief Operating Officer and Twilio's Chief Financial Officer. Before Twilio, he served in a variety of operating and financial roles at GE, across Industrial Internet, Corporate Audit and Aviation, in the US, Middle East and Singapore. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degrees from Indiana University, Bloomington. Currently, Khozema sits on the board of Ethos.

Chief Financial Officer 

Aidan Viggiano is Twilio's Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Aidan oversees the financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, real estate, investor relations, corporate development, strategy & operations, internal audit and tax functions. Aidan joined Twilio in 2019 and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Finance. Prior to joining Twilio, Aidan held a variety of finance roles at General Electric. Aidan has over 20 years of experience. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Chief Administrative Officer

Christy is the Chief Administrative Officer at Twilio where she leads the company’s global People and Legal teams. She is responsible for driving the talent development and acquisition strategy and overseeing all global legal matters, including corporate governance, and government affairs. Previously, Christy was Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer at Box, which she joined with 20 years of experience in culture development, talent strategy, and learning and development. Prior to Box, she held human resources leadership positions at Medallia, HP Software and The Home Depot. Christy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Connecticut.

Chief Revenue Officer 

As Chief Revenue Officer, Thomas oversees all of Twilio go-to-market and its functions, including sales, services, and global operations. Prior to becoming chief revenue officer, Thomas was the President of Twilio Segment, the customer data platform that thousands of companies use to deliver world-class customer experiences, where he was responsible for driving product innovation and go-to-market execution. Before joining Twilio, Thomas served as the Chief Product & Strategy Officer of People.ai, a pioneer in bringing AI-powered data capabilities to go-to-market teams. Previously, he was the Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer of AppDynamics, a leader in application monitoring and intelligence. Prior to that, he spent over a decade as a VP/GM for a range of businesses spanning data & analytics, cloud infrastructure, communications, and video at Cisco. He holds his bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University.

Chief Product Officer

As Chief Product Officer, Inbal leads Twilio's R&D organization, encompassing product, engineering, and R&D operations. She is dedicated to driving platform-wide innovation, empowering customers, and delivering transformative, customer-focused solutions. Previously, Inbal served as CPO and Head of R&D for the Twilio Communications business unit, where she played a pivotal role in enhancing the developer experience and enabling greater productivity for Twilio’s customers. Inbal’s career includes leadership roles across R&D, Marketing, and Strategy at GitHub, Amazon/AWS, and Microsoft. With extensive experience as a General Manager and Chief Product Officer, she has consistently delivered solutions that address critical customer needs and drive business impact. A trailblazer in AI adoption, Inbal has leveraged advanced technologies to tackle complex technical and business challenges throughout her career. She holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tel Aviv University and a B.Sc in Aerospace Engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion). Inbal also serves on the board of Checkmarx.

Chief Marketing Officer

Chris Koehler is Chief Marketing Officer at Twilio. He is responsible for the company's global marketing strategy. Previously, Chris was the CMO of Box, Inc. Prior to Box, Chris spent more than 25+ years leading Marketing, Customer Success, Solution Consulting, Demand Generation and Enablement teams at Adobe Systems, E*TRADE Financial, SunTrust Bank, and Claritas.  

 
He holds a B.S. in Marketing from George Mason University, an MBA from Georgia State University, and was a graduate of the Harvard Business Analytics Executive Education Program.

SVP, Strategy & Operations

Ivy Grant is Senior Vice President of Strategy & Operations at Twilio where she leads strategic planning, enterprise analytics, M&A Integration and is responsible for driving transformational initiatives that enable Twilio to continuously improve its operations. Prior to Twilio, Ivy’s career has balanced senior roles in strategy consulting at McKinsey & Company, Edelman and PwC with customer-centric operational roles at Walmart, Polo Ralph Lauren and tech startup Eversight Labs. She loves solo international travel, hugging exotic animals and boxing. Ivy has an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and a BS in Applied Economics from Cornell University.

Chair of the Board, Twilio & Operating Partner, Bessemer Venture Partners

Jeff Epstein is Chair of the Board for Twilio. He is also an Operating Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, where he specializes in marketplaces and enterprise software. In addition to Twilio, he serves on the Boards of Directors of Autodesk, Avepoint, Couchbase, Okta, as well as Kaiser Permanente and several other private companies. He is also a lecturer at Stanford University. 

He is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Oracle, one of the world's largest and most profitable technology companies, with a market value of over $150 billion. 

Prior to joining Oracle, Jeff served as Chief Financial Officer of several public and private companies, including DoubleClick (sold to Google), King World Productions (sold to CBS) and Nielsen's Media Measurement and Information Group. Earlier in his career, he was an investment banker at The First Boston Corporation. 

He holds an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar, and a BA from Yale College, where he graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.

Executive Vice President, Security, Compliance, Identity and Management at Microsoft

Charlie Bell is the Executive Vice President, Security, Compliance, Identity and Management at Microsoft where he works  to make the digital world secure and safe for everyone. He brings to Twilio’s Board of Directors more than four decades of experience in the technology industry – from developing space shuttle software to leading the creation of Amazon Web Services’ decentralized engineering system and now as Microsoft’s most senior cybersecurity executive.

Prior to Microsoft, Charlie spent nearly 25 years at Amazon, much of his time spent as a leader of Amazon Web Services, his last role being Sr. Vice President. He grew the AWS business to what it is known for today, the broadest cloud services offering in the world. Before his time at Amazon Charlie was at Oracle for seven years, growing to become Director of Oracle's Professional Services organization responsible for working with some of Oracle's largest customers to deliver data-based solutions involving both partner applications and customer-developed software. Charlie began his career in Boeing as an engineer, during his time there he played a key role in missions such as STS-61B and the Hubble Space Telescope deploy mission, STS-31.

Venture Partner, New Enterprise Associates

Jeff joined NEA in 2018 as a Venture Partner on both the technology and healthcare investing teams.

Jeff served as chairman and CEO of GE for 16 years where he revamped the company’s strategy, global footprint, workforce and culture, transforming it into a simpler, stronger, and more focused digital industrial company. During his tenure, he led several innovative transformations which doubled industrial earnings, reshaped the portfolio, re-established market leadership, grew a strong share position in essential industries, and quadrupled emerging market revenue. Prior to being appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2000, Jeff held several global leadership roles at GE in the Plastics, Appliances, and Healthcare businesses and became an Officer of the company in 1989. He has been named one of the "World’s Best CEOs" three times by Barron’s, and while he was CEO, GE was named "America’s Most Admired Company" by Fortune magazine and one of "The World’s Most Respected Companies" in polls by Barron’s and the Financial Times. He has received 15 honorary degrees and numerous awards for business leadership.

Jeff earned a B.A. degree in applied mathematics from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. He currently serves on the board for NEA portfolio companies Collective Health, Desktop Metal, and Radiology Partners, and is a member of The American Academy of Arts & Sciences. He and his wife have one daughter.

Former Governor of Massachusetts

Originally from the South Side of Chicago, Patrick came to Massachusetts at 14, when he was awarded a scholarship to Milton Academy through the Boston-based organization A Better Chance. After Harvard College and Harvard Law School, he clerked for a federal appellate judge and then launched a career as an attorney and business executive, becoming a partner at two Boston law firms and a senior executive at Texaco and Coca-Cola. In 1994, President Clinton appointed Patrick to the nation’s top civil rights post, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights.

In 2006, in his first bid for public office, he became Massachusetts’ first African-American governor. In his two terms as Governor, Patrick oversaw the expansion of affordable health care to more than 98 percent of state residents, launched initiatives stimulating clean energy and biotechnology, won a national Race to the Top grant, and steered the state out of recession to a 25-year high in employment.

From April 2015 to December 2019, he served as a Managing Director of Bain Capital LLC, where he focused on investments that deliver both a competitive financial return and significant positive social impact. He is the Founder & Chairman of TogetherFUND, a political action committee to support progressive politics and grassroots groups working to drive turnout and engagement among disenfranchised and marginalized voters.

Patrick is a Rockefeller Fellow, a Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute, and the author of two books, A Reason to Believe: Lessons from an Improbable Life and Faith in the Dream: A Call to the Nation to Reclaim American Values.

Former General Counsel, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative

Erika Rottenberg is the Former General Counsel for the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI).

Erika brings more than 15 years of experience in the boardroom, and expertise in privacy, cyber security, intellectual property, policy, M&A and corporate governance. She also brings extensive experience as a global operational technology executive and General Counsel at leading, fast-growing, disruptive technology companies with global scale.

Operationally, prior to CZI, from 2008 to 2014, Erika was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of LinkedIn, the largest professional network on the internet. As LinkedIn’s first and long-term General Counsel, she was responsible for LinkedIn’s global legal and regulatory affairs, privacy and policy. . Prior to LinkedIn, Erika was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at SumTotal Systems, a talent management enterprise software company, and she held several roles at Creative Labs, including Vice President, Strategic Development and General Counsel. Erika began her legal career at Cooley LLP, where she practiced corporate and employment law.

In addition to serving on the Twilio Board, Erika serves on the boards of directors of Girl Scouts USA and the Silicon Valley Law Foundation. Erika also served on the Board of Nasdaq-listed Wix.com, a cloud-based web development platform, from 2014-2020.

Erika holds a bachelor’s degree in Special and Elementary Education from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a juris doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law.

Former President, Asia Pacific, Japan and China, Cisco 

Miyuki Suzuki brings to Twilio’s board more than four decades of technology leadership and board member experience in B2B and B2C companies across industries, including telecommunications, hosting and managed services, networking and collaboration and cyber-security. She has leadership expertise across global markets, particularly in the Asia Pacific region, bringing with her a breadth of experience as Twilio continues to expand globally.

In addition to Twilio’s board, Suzuki also serves on the boards of Western Digital Corporation and JERA Co Inc. Most recently, Suzuki was a senior executive of Cisco Systems, her last role being that of President of Cisco Asia Pacific, Japan and China. Prior to Cisco, Suzuki led a variety of organizations including serving as President of KVH Co. Ltd (a Japanese telecommunications and IT services company), and the CEO of LexisNexis for Asia Pacific. She also served as Jetstar Japan's inaugural CEO, building the airline into one of the largest and fastest growing in the country. Previous roles also include working as the Executive Vice President of Consumer Business at Japan Telecom, and as the Managing Director for Reuters South East Asia. She holds an honors degree in history from Oxford University.

Partner, Sachem Head Capital Management LP

Andy Stafman is a partner at Sachem Head Capital Management LP, a value-oriented investment management firm based in New York. Prior to Sachem Head, Mr. Stafman worked as an Associate at Silver Lake Partners, a global private equity firm focused on technology-enabled investments. He received a B.S. in Economics, with a concentration in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated summa cum laude.
