Email in Twilio Flex is not a HIPAA Eligible Service and should not be used in workflows that are subject to HIPAA.

Email is available in Twilio Flex as a channel by which agents in your contact center can send and receive messages from your customers. Email in Flex is available as both an inbound (customer-initiated) and an outbound (agent-initiated) channel.

This section provides information about Email in Flex by role:

  • Administrators: Learn to set up Email in Flex.
  • Supervisors: Get details about email-specific reporting from Flex Insights.
  • Agents: Learn to handle an email task, as well as view, initiate, and compose emails.
  • Developers: Learn to customize the Flex UI and manage email conversations, or find out about current Email in Flex limitations.
