Updated regulation for Japan phone numbers (of any type) resellers. Resellers of Japan phone numbers will need to register with MIC as either a Registered Telecom Business Operator or a Notified Telecom Business Operator with MIC no later than January 1, 2023. An updated application form to be submitted along with TNUP (if applicable).


Updated requirements for Businesses to include Contact Name (First and Last Name of the person responsible to receive notifications) with supporting documentation.


Updated requirements for Singapore national phone numbers to include phone number contact information. This requirement does not need supporting documentation.

  • Austria Local: Loosened "Academic Degree" requirement, which is only needed for EU or EEA countries.

  • Belgium Local, Toll-Free: Removed "Method of Payment" as a required item.

  • Finland Mobile, National, Toll-Free: loosened requirement for "Local Address" to allow "Any Address".

  • German Mobile: added "Trade License" as an additional option for proof.

  • Hong Kong Mobile, National: Added "Tax Return", "Student Loan Statement", and "Voter Registration" as additional options for proof of address.

  • Ireland Local, Mobile, National: removed requirement to supply documentation to prove address.

  • Added new options to prove address in many countries. Acceptable documents now may include a "Tax Notice", "Rent Receipt", or "Title deed".

  • Improved clarity by explicitly separating the requirements for individuals and businesses.

  • Added a new Getting Started Guide with instructions how to map and upload identity documentation in Console.

  • Clarifications:

    • Additional Requirements for Specific Countries.

    • Looser Requirements.


  • Document upload tool in Console is now available for every country globally.
  • Document file size limit increased from 2MB to 5MB.
  • Documents may now be uploaded individually vs combined into a single document.

Clarified Hong Kong address requirements for toll-free, mobile, and national numbers. The end-user address does not need to be a Hong Kong address.
