Primary compliance profiles
Profiles renamed
Customer profiles have been rebranded to Compliance profiles. This doesn't change the Trust Hub API. All API endpoints, parameter names, and resource identifiers (like CustomerProfileSid) remain the same. This documentation covers the features in the Twilio Console.
A primary compliance profile contains your core identity and business data. To create registrations in your account, you need an approved primary profile.
Primary compliance profiles belong in two categories: either a business or individual profile. Business profiles cover businesses with verified business documentation. Individual profiles cover sole proprietors or individual users exploring Twilio products.
To create a business primary compliance profile:
-
Go to Products & Services > Trust Hub > Profiles. The Primary profile should be selected.
-
Click Business Profile. The Profile details: Individual details page appears.
-
Complete the Individual details section. Twilio uses this information to verify your identity and maintain a secure, trusted platform.

- Type your surname into the Last name box as it shows up on your government issued ID.

-
When the correct address appears, click on it. All address fields then display with the completed data.
-
Click Continue. The Profile details: Notification settings page appears.
-
Provide values for at least one of the two methods of notification shown:
- Type the email address that should receive Twilio notifications in the Notification email box.
- Type the webhook callback URL in the Status Callback URL box.
-
Click Next. The Profile details: Thanks for submitting your primary compliance profile! page appears.
-
Click Finish. The Compliance profile page displays with a pop-up that shows Success. Create Compliance Profile completed successfully. This profile shows Pending review.
When the Compliance profile appears, it shows the status of your submitted profile.
- If you provided all required data, your profile moves to Pending Review status. You can't edit this profile at this time.
- If you failed to provide complete data or data in the proper format, your profile moves to Twilio Rejected. You can edit and resubmit your profile.
Twilio reviews your profile. If Twilio can verify your data, your profile status changes to Twilio Approved. You can use your primary compliance profile. Twilio approval indicates that the data provided met Twilio's requirements. It doesn't indicate that your profile complies with applicable laws or regulatory requirements.
