Description

description page anchor

This error applies to both Toll-Free Verification and A2P 10DLC registration.

Promotional or marketing messaging is prohibited for prescription drugs and GLP-1 products in your messaging campaign. Only informational use cases, such as two-factor authentication, order confirmations, shipping updates, and account or appointment alerts, are permitted.

Possible causes

possible-causes page anchor
  • Your business involves prescription drugs or GLP-1 medications and the campaign attempts to promote these products.
  • A promotional or marketing use case was selected for a submission involving prescription drugs or GLP-1 products.

The informational-use exception does not authorize an otherwise prohibited business or controlled-substance use case. Those restrictions remain separate. For A2P 10DLC, existing 30941 guidance and its program-specific eligibility are not replaced by this page.

  • If the business and intended use case are otherwise permitted, remove promotional content and submit evidence of the actual informational messaging, such as two-factor authentication, order and shipping updates, or account and appointment alerts.
  • Remove all promotional language and marketing intent from your campaign details and message samples.
  • For an otherwise permitted business and use case, submit the corrected registration for review after making these changes.
