30442: Toll-Free phone number verification rejection - Disallowed: Spam
MESSAGING
ERROR
Your Toll-Free verification submission was reviewed and rejected because the business or message content appears to be associated with spam. As of January 31, 2024, unverified Toll-Free numbers cannot send messages to the United States or Canada until verification is approved. Toll-Free review considers the sending business, the stated use case, sample messages, web presence, opt-in and consent flow, and related terms and privacy policies.
- The business appears to be associated with a known spam or fraudulent campaign.
- The submitted use case, sample messages, or message content appear to match spam-like or otherwise prohibited messaging activity.
- Review your business type, use case, sample messages, and opt-in flow against the forbidden message categories for SMS and MMS in the United States and Canada. If your traffic falls into a disallowed category, do not resubmit the same use case for Toll-Free verification.
- If you believe the rejection is incorrect, contact Twilio Support and provide additional information that clearly explains your business, your opt-in flow, and the messages you plan to send.
- If the rejected submission is eligible for correction, update the verification details in Console or through the Toll-Free Verification API and resubmit it as soon as possible. Resubmissions made within seven days receive priority review.
