# 30539: Call-to-Action opt-out instructions are present but noncompliant

Log Type: APPLICATION

Log Level: ERROR

## Description

This error applies to both Toll-Free Verification and A2P 10DLC registration.

Your call-to-action includes opt-out instructions, but those instructions do not provide compliant keyword language. If opt-out instructions are entirely absent, see [30547](/docs/api/errors/30547).

### Possible causes

* The disclosure contains opt-out instructions but does not explain a valid keyword-based way to stop receiving messages.
* The instructions direct consumers to use alternative words or numbers to opt out, such as "Reply NO to stop" or "Text 3 to unsubscribe," which is not allowed.

### Possible solutions

* Update your consent details to include standard, compliant opt-out language.
* Place clear instructions in plain sight on the call-to-action screen using a valid opt-out keyword, such as "Reply STOP to cancel" or "Reply STOP to opt out," then resubmit. Valid keyword examples include STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT, HALT, and CANCEL.
